Their brunch menu is where this place truly shines, boasting dishes that burst with flavor and thoughtful execution. Guests frequently rave about the Sunday Pancakes, which arrive tall, fluffy, and celebrated for their perfect balance—rich yet never overly sweet—especially when paired with the luscious hazelnut chocolate topping. The Shakshuka, a spiced egg dish simmered in vibrant tomato sauce, reveals a nuanced blend of spices that dances on the palate, though some valued it as a more straightforward, salsa-inspired interpretation best enjoyed with their crisply toasted bread for dipping.
For those craving a savory brunch indulgence, the Hot Chicken Sandwich with Sunday Fries delivers a compelling crunch and heat, ideal for diners who appreciate bold flavors. The Biscuits & Gravy balance comfort and refinement, while the Avocado Toast with Poached Egg offers a fresh, creamy contrast, crowned by a perfectly runny yolk.
Cocktail enthusiasts will find themselves at home here, too. The cocktail bar presents beautiful options like the Espresso Martini and the intriguingly named Champagne Problems, adding layers of excitement to the brunch or evening experience. The wine bar selections further elevate the sensory journey, making Sunday In Brooklyn a versatile spot for both lively midday gatherings and relaxed after-work unwind sessions.

The service amazing. For 2 people they offered a 2 person table, outside or inside, they sat us right away. The food was Fast and tasted fresh. Eggs were done perfectly, soft scrambled, bacon crispy, potatoes were a little too salty, and the shakshuka was a little disappointing, like salsa with pouched eggs, but the bread was crisp and yummy when dipped into the bowl. However, the Sunday pancake was amazing. It’s was like a mini fluffy yellow cake with delicious buttered maple all over. not a maple taste but like a chocolaty buttery nutty flavor. “It was like a reward”. We enjoyed it the most. Overall we understand the hype and definitely recommend to try it for yourself.
Brunch was delicious, service was great with good recommendations. I thought the pancake would be too sweet but it wasn’t any sweeter than a typical pancake with syrup and tasted like a griddle maple pancake-cake… very good. The star was the shakshouka though; that was so good with the perfect hint of spice.
Loved the vibes, service, good, and drink. We had the pancake which was enormous but tasted so good especially with its hazelnut chocolate topping. The marshmallow latte was so good. Service was quick and very professional; I would not hesitate to recommend the place and would love to go back again and again to try other dishes
I’ve been to Sunday in Brooklyn many times for both brunch and dinner. The service can be a bit up-and-down...we’ve even had a dish come out with a hair in it once; and the host stand isn’t always the warmest. That said, the brunch is definitely my favorite, even though it gets very busy. Their winter onion soup is a must during fall season, and most of the brunch menu is consistently delicious.
Visited Sunday in Brooklyn for brunch and honestly, wow. We got the pistachio hummus with wood-fired flatbread — probably the richest, most flavorful meze I’ve ever had. A total must-try (and so generous we couldn’t even finish it!). Also ordered the warm grain bowl, and it arrived in what felt like 5 minutes — unbelievably fast service. The bowl itself was pure comfort: warm, rich, and beautifully balanced. The eggs were cooked like a soufflé — soft and melting — topped with a gigantic half avocado and a generous handful of pepitas (which I love and rarely see done this well). The rice underneath was so delicious. Finished with a cappuccino, served instantly in a lovely porcelain cup — the perfect touch to end brunch. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, checking in often to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, one of the best brunch experiences we’ve had in
If I had to describe Sunday in Brooklyn in 2 words it would be “quiet luxury”. This place was such a gem to find as a tourist looking for a breakfast/brunch option that wasn’t in the city. We spent the morning in Brooklyn and absolutely loved it. Definitely worth making a reservation. This was one of the most detail oriented restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We were celebrating my sister’s birthday and upon arrival they had a birthday card for her, and had the cutest candle set up with a cinnamon roll after we ordered. We got the breakfast sandwich, the scramble plate (can’t remember the exact name) and the honey cheddar biscuit (which we unanimously agreed was the best biscuit we’ve ever had and almost asked about shipping to Ohio, lol) and multiple specialty beverages. Even the bill came in a cute block with a plant stem. We didn’t even care how much it was because it was so cute, haha. For an experience breakfast as a foodie, can’t recommend enough.
The pancakes had a lot of hype to them and surpassed it. The texture from the pecan and the brown sugar syrup was unique and thick in a good way. We split a single stack to start and got for entrees we got the egg, potato and sausage sandwich and the blt. When I go back I’ll make sure to do a double stack pancakes for sure.
